Elisa Inman is a forward prospect from Wadsworth High in
Ohio, a team that has been a perennial threat to win Ohio's
Division I crown. Wadsworth made it to the final weekend of the
state tournament last season, and won the title in 1997 with
Inman contributing 15 points and 11 boards.
Inman does Wadsworth's dirty work. She is a great rebounder
and blocks shots, but also has an eye for passing. She has been
described as a "skilled playmaker with good ballhandling skills",
and possesses good speed. Her defense is also good, helping her
team hold opponents to just 35.8 points per game last season.
Schools chasing Inman included many Big Ten programs,
Harvard, Princeton, South Carolina, Duke, Rice and North Carolina.
She verballed to Purdue after the Boilers 78-68 win over the
#1 ranked Tennessee Vols on 11/16/98.
Inman is currently 5th (12/30/98) on Wadsworth's all-time
scoring list.

"nervous" until Purdue picked a successor for Carolyn Peck, who
will jump to the WNBA after the 98-99 season.
