I got the chance to see Jones play in the sectionals this past year. She's a great kid from a fine family. She has some awesome skills. She has impressive hops and is a strong ball striker. IN HS ball, she gets up well enough to hit over most blockers. It won't be that way in college. Right now, she is almost unstoppable simply by using her athletism. She's going to need to learn to be smart with the ball too.

Carmel beat HSE in the sectional finals last year in a surprise. She was pounding them early causing Carmel to pull back on the block and play for the dig. That strategy worked real well which baited Jones into making several errors. After Carmel's success with that strategy, I think she'll see that a lot this next year which will help broaden her game.

She's still a little raw, but you can see a world of potential there. Jones seems like she has the demeanor to be very coachable. She could be the next Boiler great one!
