will be how we classify them. Since the eligibility of transfers varies (Division I
college-to-college transfers sit one year while jucos are eligible immediately) we will list
them with the class that their academic eligibility begins. For example, if a player comes to
a program with the class of 2004 (04-05) but is ineligible for athletic competition until the
class of 2005 (05-06), we will list the player with the class of 2004. The player is
officially part of the team even though that player may not see the floor for another year.
The reason for doing this is this keeps transfers on the same level as redshirts and freshman
academic ineligible players. This list is only a reference, and would be too time consuming
to keep adjusting incoming players due to redshirt, transfer and academic eligiblity questions.
