Michelle Clark is a combo guard from the greater Los Angeles area of California who has developed a reputation over her high school career as being a leader. First team conference and Division honors changed to conference and Division MVP awards her junior year. Clark is known as a gym rat who has a high basketball IQ, a highly skilled shooter from beyond the arc, an athlete with good endurance who is a big leaper, and a competent floor general when needed.

Clark averaged 17.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.5 steals per game during her junior year while shooting 48-percent from the floor (128-of-264), 33-percent from the perimeter (77-of-236) and 69-percent from the freethrow line (49-of-71). She had a season-high 31 points in a February 2006 win over Calvary Chapel. Against four-time CIF 4AA champion Marlborough, Clark had a game-high 23 points. Clark was named the Division IVA CIF Player of the Year her junior season.

As a sophomore, Clark averaged 16.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.1 steals per game for 24-5 Oaks Christian.

Clark gave an oral commitment to Sharon Versyp on August 24, 2006. She was also considering Colorado, Dartmouth, Duke, Harvard, Pepperdine, San Diego State and TCU. She cited Purdue's fan support, staff, and a willingness to get away from home to "grow" as reasons for choosing Purdue.
