Interesting that you would say someone would have to grow up bleeding true Badger blood to even think of playing there. As the mother of a basketball player, who would love to play at Purdue because of the education and the program, if she was not offered a scholarship, she would gladly play for the Badgers, if they offered her a scholarship. She would get to play Big Ten basketball, she would get a great education, and she would right a wrong when her grandparents didn't send her mother there.
Basketball players make all kinds of decisions about where to go to college. Cassie Kerns is still waiting for her national championship ring in Storrs and getting very little playing time. But sometimes, an education and a place to play ball is what matters, even if that place doesn't make the tournament.
