Pretty good close out

That is a pretty good close out to the recruiting season. Two big defensive linemen and a kicker that can consistantly put it in the end zone on kickoffs.

3* DT Bruce Gaston 6'2" 290. One of those fire plugs that can move a little yet plug up the center of the D line. He should play around 310 to 320 once he beefs up at Purdue. It reopens the Chicago recruiting area where Purdue has been absent in recent years. He turned down Notre Dame, Boston College, MSU, and Wisconsin. Must have some talent.

3* DE Rashad Frazier 6'6" 225. This is a Big Defensive end. He turned down MSU, WVa, and Wisconsin. Must have some talent

0* K Johnathan Linkenheimer 6'2" 205. This kid consistantly kicks the ball out of the end zone on Kickoffs. If he does nothing else for the next 4 years, it will be a good pick up. The 4th guy from the same high school. I hope his 4* wide receiver, soft verbal, friend takes note and signs on the dotted line on Wednesday.


It looks like we have 25 ready to sign. Some where out there at least one of the recruiting services rated one of them 4 star and another eighteen 3 star. With two kickers and a long snapper in the remaining 6, this class has to be rated as an upgrade to Purdue recent recruiting classes.

For a second year Hope has done what he set out to do, get quicker athletes from Florida, get some early hidden gems, and wait it out till the end of the recruiting season a get a couple good late commits. IN addition he picked some good talent from Indiana, Chicago/Illinois, PA, and Ohio.
