Our coach was available last night for a meet and greet at "Da Coach's" restaurant (Ditka). He was his typical hilarious self in front of alumni, cracking one-liners during his entire speech. He reiterated several times his dislike for computers and the internet and pointedly didn't want anything that he said to end up on places like this, but there were a couple of things I came away with from the evening. One was his expectation for David Pender to become a real shut-down corner this year. Additionally was that the biggest thing he won't miss upon retirement is the bad attitudes of some players that every coach has to deal with more and more each year.

It was a fun night and a well run program organized by the Purdue Club of Chicago. About 50 people in attendance, but hard to tell how many were officers or others that probably had to be there.
