In front of a sellout crowd of 14,123, Purdue beat Michigan State in overtime 76-70. Lowe, Buscher, Teague, and McKnight were all in double figures in scoring for the Boilers. Buscher played his best game of the season scoring 17 points on 7-11 shooting and grabbing 8 rebounds. Purdue's guards combined for 0 turnovers and 13 assists. After trailing by 6 with under 3 minutes left in the game, Purdue made a run to tie the game with about 10 seconds left in the game. Michigan State had a chance to win, but could not convert in regulation. After a Paul Davis dunk to start overtime, Purdue took over scoring three straight baskets and not looking back as they out scored MSU 14-8 in overtime.
