Purdue started out well, with a Teague steal on the first possession. The boilers led most of the game, but with under 5 minutes to go Huntsville took a 1 point lead and the lead went back and forth for the final 5 minutes, before the boilers finally pulled it out 72-70 after Huntsville missed a long 3 pointer at the buzzer (well short of the basket). Kiefer played better this game, but was 1-5 from the field with 5 points including a steal and breakaway slam; he also missed 3 of 6 free throw attempts. Buscher played great in the 2nd half and booker played okay, but still shot only 3-8 from the field. Once again the guards led the way as Lowe, Teague, and Buckley led Purdue in scoring with 12, 15, and 13 points respectively. Teague and Buckley combined for 6-17 from 3 pt range, around 35%. Purdue's frontcourt will continue to improve as the season goes on.
