Willie Deane came out of the game on fire, scoring the first 11 points of the game, helping to lead Purdue to an early 13-0 lead which later become 18-1. Wisconsin finally scored their first field goal about 8 minutes into the game. Lowe against had a great defensive effort as he held Wisconsin's leading scorer Kirk Penney to just 8 points, less than half his average. Kilgore had his best game of the season scoring 17 points and 3 steals. Deane was solid as usual with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. Kartelo had a good game as well with 6 points and a game high 9 rebounds. McKnight also pulled down a career best 7 rebounds to go with his 5 points. Hopefully the players can take this intensity to the Barn on Saturday where they face Minnesota at 2:30 PM EST. Purdue now has a 2 game lead in the b10 on everyone, except Michigan.
