Novosel Q&AA recent Q&A held with Lexington Catholic's (KY) Natalie Novosel and published by the Louisville Courier-Journal addresses several questions about her recruiting. The same writer, Jody Demling, published a rumor on a newspaper blog on June 24th which stated the following:
"Word out of Lexington has Novosel down to Duke, Notre Dame, Louisville, Kentucky, Texas and Middle Tennessee State. I have also heard she's leaning towards Notre Dame or Duke, but I will try to check in with her this week." (June 24, 2007, Louisville Courier-Journal).
The "checking in" was in the form of a Q&A, which can be found at the link below. In it, Novosel only mentions four schools by name -- Kentucky, Louisville, Duke and Connecticut. She also indicates her only two offers have been from Kentucky and Louisville. And as for the timing of her decision, Novosel says, "A lot of colleges have contacted me, but I don't have a favorite yet. I don't want to decide too soon."
The Q&A seems to suggest that despite offers extended to 2008 targets center Sarah Boothe and guard Ashley Corral, Purdue's third rumored target in 2008 has yet to be offered by the Boilers. That, of course, could change any day.

Boothe gets accepted by Stanford
According to a press release from John Waring, president of Pacesetter Basketball, Sarah Boothe has been academically accepted by Stanford University. This would now clear the way for Boothe to accept a basketball scholarship at Stanford, if she were to choose Stanford over her other favorites, a list that also includes Purdue, Wisconsin, Illinois, Notre Dame and DePaul.
Big Ten Recruiting
Northwestern adds a highly regarded forward from Ohio from the class of 2008. Brittany Orban, a 6'0 rising senior from North Canton Hoover (OH), chose Northwestern over an offer from Michigan and others. Orban averaged 21.4 points and 12.0 rebounds, shooting 60 percent from the floor and 39 percent from the perimeter. She hit 16 three-pointers last season. Orban is a two-time All-Ohio first team selection, and a two-time conference player of the year. She also carries a GPA between 4.2 and 4.3.
