Faris visits again

In attendance for the Saturday home game against Mississippi State were a handful of prospects. Two familiar faces included Brittany Rayburn and Heritage Christian's Kelly Faris. Faris appeared to be visiting with her parents. Earlier in the season Faris visited with Heritage Christian head coach Rick Risinger.

Sarah Boothe profile up

The prospect profile for 6'5 junior center Sarah Boothe has been completed, including her 2006-07 season schedule.

Sports Illustrated profiles Skylar Diggins

Dave Krider of Sports Illustrated has a good background profile article on South Bend's Skylar Diggins. With all the discussion of banning male practice players on the NCAA level, the following quote from Diggins certainly stands out.

"We play with boys a lot," Diggins says, "so you've got to find ways to get your shot off, not let them block it and still finish."

Lakota West (OH) junior basketball standout Amber Gray is on the cover of this month's RISE magazine, and the magazine features a four-page story.

IHSAA statistics

Looking over this past week's IHSAA statistical leader charts, a couple known Purdue targets are putting up good numbers.

Through four games, Brittany Rayburn is ranked third in the state in scoring average (27.3), fifteenth in rebounds per game (10.5), and sixteenth in the state in steals per game (4.5).

Through nine games, South Bend Washington's Skylar Diggins ranks twelveth in the state in scoring (22.0), fourth in assists per game (6.0), and eleventh in steals per game (5.0).
