PURDUE WOMENS BASKETBALL RECRUITING:
Women's Recruiting Update: Purdue mentions

Throughout the summer, we have viewed quite a few players and collected quite a few of their wish lists as a result. We want to make it clear that while these lists might contain the name of a particular school, there is no guarantee that school is recruiting the player, or, has even heard of the player. That caveat now said, here are the players this summer who mentioned Purdue as a university they liked at the time.

Zakiya Blair, 2010, South Holland (IL), The Family, Lists: Tennessee, Michigan State, Purdue, Depaul

Shanna Brewer, 5'8, North Central (IN), 2008, The Family, Lists: Wright State, IUPUI, Purdue, Michigan State, Dayton, Holy Cross

Keona Bruen, 5'5, Warren Central (IN), 2009, The Family, Lists: Purdue, Tennessee, North Carolina, LSU, Baylor, Duke

Destiny Chaney, 5'5, Belleville East (IL), 2008, Saint Louis Bulls, Lists: Southern Illinois, Purdue, Florida State, Michigan State

Mahogany Childs, 5'7, Indianapolis Northwest (IN), 2010, The Family, Lists: Purdue, Notre Dame, UCLA, North Carolina, LSU, Indiana

Alicia Coe, 5'5, (IN), 2009, The Family, Lists: Indiana State, Ball State, Purdue, Indiana

Shea Collins, 5'4, Henderson (NV), 2010, Nevada Lady Sharks, Lists: Purdue, Maryland, UNC-Willington, Eastern Washington, San Diego State, UNLV

Courtney Cross, 5'9, IN, 2008, The Family, Lists: Tennessee, UCLA, Purdue, IUPUI, Butler, Wright State

Skylar Gick, 5'6, Benton Central (IN), 2009, Indiana's Finest, Lists: Purdue, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Wisconsin

Dragana Grbic, 6'2, Terre Haute South (IN), 2009, Terre Haute Magic, Lists: Purdue, Northwestern, Duke, Notre Dame, Penn State, Indiana

Alex Jarrell, 6'3, Shelbyville (TN), 2008, Tennessee Flight, Lists: Duke, Tennessee State, Purdue, Stanford, Clemson

Moriah Jones, 5'9, Carbondale (IL), 2009, Illinois Lady Titans, Lists: Maryland, Washington, LSU, Purdue, Tennessee

Dawn Luster, 5'8, South Holland (IL), 2010, The Family, Lists: Tennessee, Michigan State, Purdue, Depaul, Illinois

Lauren Meadows, 5'7, Indianapolis Brebeuf (IN), 2009, The Family, Lists: Indiana, Notre Dame, Butler, Purdue, Northwestern, Ohio State

Elizabeth Mercer, 6'0, Western Boone (IN), 2008, Team Indiana Red, Lists: Ohio State, Evansville, Butler, Purdue, Indianapolis

Destiny Mitchell, 5'9, Massac County (IL), 2008, Lists: Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Purdue, Illinois State, Indiana State, Michigan State

Andrea Neubauer, 5'7, (IN), 2010, The Family, Lists: Dayton, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Butler, Purdue, Georgia

Janessa Richmond, 6'0, Wauwatosa East (WI), 2008, Lists: Wisconsin Lady Scholars, Purdue, Tennessee, Connecticut, Marquette, Indiana, Duke

Nicole Rogers, 5'7, (IN), 2012, The Family, Lists: Purdue, Notre Dame, Texas Tech, Rutgers, Xavier, Cincinnati

Krista Smith, 5'9, (IN), 2010, The Family, Lists: Indiana State, Indiana, Purdue

Ashley Springer, 5'8, DeForest (WI), 2009, Viking Club, Lists: Minnesota, Purdue, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Stanford, Kansas

Will these players see the recruiting attention they desire of the schools they list? Or will they be the next Hannah Anderson, who would join the Purdue team as a walkon? Or will they be the next Ashley Walker, who listed Purdue as a freshman, would see no attention, and later go on to be the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in 2006?

    Time will tell.
