Michigan season begins
The teams of two Purdue prospects, one committed prospect and one potential prospect, are profiled in this article by the Detroit News. Lawless to ISU
A player we have been following for a while here in OGFP, Taylor Lawless, has committed to Illinois State. A cousin to current Boilermaker forward Erin Lawless, Taylor was being scouted by some Big Ten programs but retore her ACL in her right knee on June 13th. The 6'1 Taylor is a 1,000-point scorer, and averaged 11.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game as a junior.
Ramblings
"You cannot guard her one-on-one; teams had to guard her with two or three people." -- Former Detroit head coach Nkwane Young on Lakeisha Mosley.
Big Ten Recruiting
Ebony Jackson, a 6'0 wing from the class of 2007, has committed to Indiana University. As a junior at Arlington High in Indianapolis, Jackson averaged 17.7 points and 10.2 rebounds and was named first team all-Indianapolis.
Another 2007 player, 6'3 power forward Evelyn Lewis from Hampton High (VA), has committed to Penn State. Lewis averaged 17 points and seven rebounds per game last season and helped lead the Crabbers to the Peninsula District regular-season and tournament titles, as well as the Eastern Region semifinals.
