Purdue has received their first 2007 commitment. Lakeshia Mosley, a 6'1 forward from Detroit Community High (Mich.) orally committed during her unofficial visit this weekend.
Mosley is one of Michigan's top players, making the All-Detroit team as a junior and was honored as a Class C all-state first team member by the Associated Press. Mosley has also garnered national recognition and is considered among the top 30 players in the nation. As a junior she averaged 21 points, 11 rebounds, 1.2 blocks. She averaged 14 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots as a sophomore.
Mosley started high school playing for Detroit De Porres, a school that closed their doors in 2005. Mosley ended up at Detroit Community. A former teammate at De Porres, Michelle Carr, was recruited and signed by Versyp and staff while they were at Indiana.
