Wednesday night at Forest Park High School, the Senior All-Star team rallied to knock off the Junior All-Stars 75-71. Fahkara Malone started for the Seniors, and shared point guard duty with Melissa Lechlitner. In 23 minutes, Malone shot 5-of-13 from the field for 10 points, plus added two rebounds, three assists and seven steals. Malone had five of her seven steals in the second half, as the Seniors used a 16-6 run and tight defense at the end of the game to pull out the win.
Big Ten recruiting
Michigan State has added a junior college player. Jenn Jones, a 6'0 forward from Monroe Community College (NY), chose Michigan State over Texas Tech, Georgia, Alabama, UCLA and Tulsa. She averaged 15.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and shot 60-percent from the field last season on her way to being named a second team All-American. She will be eligible to play for MSU in the 2006-07 season and will be classified as a junior.
