The 2006 edition of the Indiana Junior All-Star team has been announced, and the core team will feature Purdue basketball commit Ta'Shia Phillips.

The "core" team is a six-player squad that will play in all three exhibition scrimmages against the Senior All-Stars. The "core" team will scrimmage the Senior Stars on June 14th, June 20th and June 22nd, and will be teamed with an additional six juniors (North, Central and South squads) for each of the three games.

The sites for the scrimmages have yet to be determined, but two sites have extended invitations to host the games, provided the communities have either a senior or junior all-star on one of the teams. Those sites are Huntington North high school and River Forest high school.

Mark Hurt of Mooresville will be the head coach of the Juniors. He will be assisted by Gary Horner of Winchester and Candy Wilson of Boone Grove.

Megan King of Fort Wayne Canterbury, a member of the North Six squad, will be the alternate to the Core squad should any of those players be unable to play all three games.
