Outside hitter Mandy Nichols had 21 kills last week as Center Grove defeated No. 1 Muncie Central 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 27-25.
Nichols leads Center Grove HS (IN) with 245 kills on the season and a match-high 22 kills. She ranks 14th in the state in attack attempts (516).
Center Grove has risen to a No. 36 national ranking this week by PrepVolleyball with a 16-1 record. Their only loss of the season was to Martinsville, currently ranked 34th.
In the state of Indiana, Center Grove's win over No. 1 Muncie Central has improved their state ranking to No. 4 in Class 4A. They also hold victories over Class 4A No. 5 Carmel, Class 3A No. 2 New Castle and No. 3 Roncalli.
2007: Jaclyn Hart
Stagg's record stands at 7-2 after a 25-20, 26-24 victory over Lincoln-Way Central on Tuesday. Hart had 19 assists and contributed nine points.
Stagg defeated conference foe Lockport 25-20, 23-25, and 25-13 last Thursday. Hart had 29 assists and seven blocks.
Stagg is ranked No. 12 by the Chicago Tribune, and No. 4 by the Daily Southtown.
