The University of Iowa has received a commitment from 5'7 guard Zoraa Quoie of Woodbury (MN). Quoie averaged 10.6 points and four steals a game as a junior. Quoie had interest from Minnesota and Boston College, and had an offer from Bradley.
Quoie is the first Class of 2006 player to make a commitment to Iowa. The last two remaining Big Ten programs waiting to get their first commitments for 2006 are Indiana and Penn State. Minnesota, Northwestern and Ohio State lead the conference with three 2006 commitments each. Purdue remains the only Big Ten program with a commitment for the Class of 2007.
