Russia took care of a winless Republic of Congo team on Sunday, 84-53, behind 15 points from Elena Danilochkina. Purdue's Natasha Bogdanova contributed 17 minutes for six points and six rebounds, shooting 3-of-7 from the floor.
The Russian coaches continue to distribute minutes throughout the players on the team, and Bogdanova's 17 minutes marks the fewest she has played in three games.
The teams will take Monday off, then return to the court to finish the final two games of preliminary play. Russia stands in second place at 2-1 in Group A with Korea, a team they defeated on Saturday. The United States remains undefeated at 3-0 atop Group A.
Russia plays Serbia & Montenegro on Tuesday and Puerto Rico on Wednesday.
