Brebeuf advanced to the quarterfinals of the Marion County Tourney with a 55-48 win over Perry Meridian. Phillips led all scorers with 26 points, adding 11 rebounds and two assists. She shot 12-of-14 for the game, hitting both freethrows she attempted.
Phillips had 14 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks in a 66-25 win over Heritage Christian on Sunday. Twelve of her points came in the third quarter when Brebeuf held Heritage Christian scoreless.
2007: Jantel Lavender
Jantel Lavender had 17 points and nine rebounds Wednesday in a 57-39 win over Canton McKinley.
Last Thursday, Lavender hit the final shot to squeek out a one point over Walsh Jesuit. She had a double-double of 17 points and 16 rebounds.
