    2006: Fahkara Malone

    Malone led all scorers with 16 points in Memorial's first game of the season. In the 64-21 win over Jasper, Malone also netted seven steals and two assists.

    2006: Amber Harris

    Harris scored just 10 points in North Central's 52-41 win over Mooresville to open the season for the Panthers on the road at Mooresville.

    2006: Jareica Hughes and Timika Williams

    Southfield-Lathrup (22-1), currently ranked No. 1 in Class A, advanced to a Regional matchup Monday with a 62-29 win over Berkley. Center Timika Williams led all scorers and rebounders with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Hughes added 14 points and five assists.

    Southfield-Lathrup began District play with a 69-34 win over Ferndale. Timika Williams had 12 points and eight rebounds, and Jareica Hughes had 10 points, six rebounds, seven steals and 12 assists.

    A week ago Thursday, Southfield-Lathrup won the Oakland Activities Association Division 1 title by defeating West Bloomfield, 49-40. 6'1 Timika Williams scored 17 points and grabbed 15 boards while going up against the West Bloomfield frontline of 6'2 and 6'1. Hughes added 15 points.

    2006: Dee Dee Jerigan

    East Chicago is currently 5-0, fresh off a three-game Chicago roadtrip. E.C. jumped out to a 26-6 lead against Morgan Park in their third game of the season, winning 69-24. Jernigan scored 11 points. Next came Chicago Hope, who fell by a more respectable margin of 14 points. In the 72-58 win, Dee Dee Jerigan had 16 points. In the last game of the trip, Crane went down 66-46 against a game-high 23 points from Jernigan.

    East Chicago opened the season with a 77-38 win over Hammond as Dee Dee Jernigan hit for 17 points. E.C. followed with a 64-46 win over South Bend Clay, shooting 75-percent from the line as a team. Jernigan led all scorers with 20 points.

    Up next is a key region matchup with Merrillville (0-2) on Wednesday.

    2007: Ta'Shia Phillips

    The Braves advanced their record to 3-0 with a 51-42 win over Carmel. Ta'Shia Phillips had a game-high 25 points.
