Mentor, Ohio senior center Megan Skouby announced on Monday that she had given an oral commitment to the University of Iowa. The 6'6 center had narrowed her choices to Purdue and Iowa.

Purdue is still in the hunt for 6'4 Danielle Campbell, who was recently rated No. 23 by Blue Star among the class of 2005. Campbell will visit Penn State this coming weekend, then return to chose from a short list of Purdue, TCU and Penn State.

Teah Gant to Wisconsin

Oswego (IL) junior Teah Gant has verbally committed to the University of Wisconsin. Gant had offers on the table from Evansville and Bradley. Gant cancelled trips to Minnesota and Marquette, and had already visited a host of schools unofficially including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Northwestern.

Gant had not scheduled a visit to Purdue, as a source close to the situation says Purdue is holding a scholarship for East Chicago Central's 6'0 scorer Dee Dee Jernigan.

Gant averaged 17.7 points and 6.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore. Fans can keep up with Big Ten commitments at the link below.
