    Aisha Jefferson chooses Michigan State

Following a weekend visit, Chaminade-Julienne forward Aisha Jefferson gave an oral commitment to Michigan State. It was her second visit to the campus. She promptly canceled her remaining visits, and chose the Spartans over interest in LSU, Purdue and Boston College.

    No word from Helgeson

As Purdue prepares for visits from 6'5 Megan Skouby and 6'4 Danielle Campbell this weekend, last weekend's visitor Stephanie Helgeson will be in Columbus for an official visit to Ohio State. Fans can get a peek at Skouby and Campbell as they watch an open scrimmage being held in Mackey Arena at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The scrimmage is open to the public, and will also feature the men's team who will take the floor immediately following the women's scrimmage.

    Danielle Campbell update

Danielle Campbell will be on the campus of Purdue this weekend for an official visit, but will she listen if Notre Dame comes calling again? She was scheduled to visit Notre Dame earlier this month, but Irish head coach Muffet McGraw withdrew the invitation when the Irish received a verbal from 6'4 post Demetress Adams. Adams committed to Notre Dame on September 15, but changed her commitment to South Carolina last week, leaving McGraw empty handed with no replacements scheduled to visit.

Arnika Brown is Kentucky's top junior

According to preseason rankings by scout Rick Bolus, Christian County High (KY) junior Arnika Brown is ranked as the top female player in Kentucky. Brown, a 6'0 forward, averaged 18 points and seven boards as a sophomore, and is attracting attention from everyone, but has been reportedly considering Purdue among a list that also includes Cincinnati, Florida, Connecticut, Tennessee, Kentucky, Maryland and others. She plans to take a first cut at her list before the season begins.
