Helgeson, Skouby and Campbell set visits

According to the Journal and Courier, Coach Curry will see one of her top 2005 post targets visit campus for homecoming this weekend, followed by two more the weekend of October 23rd.

River Ridge (LA) 6'4 center Stephanie Helgeson rolls into West Lafayette on Friday. She is coming off two official visits, to Baylor and Maryland, and has another scheduled at Ohio State for October 22nd.

While Helgeson is in Columbus, Purdue will host 6'6 Ohio center Megan Skouby and 6'4 Chicago center Danielle Campbell.

Skouby is keeping her list private, but it is known Purdue, another Big Ten program and an ACC program have made her final three. Skouby is finding it easier to take visits to programs this fall after giving up volleyball to concentrate on basketball. Skouby was an All-Ohio performer on the volleyball court.

The J&C reports Campbell is down to Purdue and Penn State, but a recent Chicago Tribune blurb also mentioned Northwestern as a possibility. Campbell, and solid student, has been named a Street & Smith All-American, landing on the fourth team. That puts her in the top 20 in the Class of 2005.
