PURDUE WOMENS BASKETBALL RECRUITING:
Recruiting Update: Howell update

    Jodi Howell update

The results of Howell's MRI on Tuesday revealed no serious re-injury of her knee ligaments, but did indicate some "aggravated cartilage". As a result, Howell did not play in the Junior All-Star scrimmage on Wednesday evening.

Howell will be attending the Nike All-American Camp in St. Louis July 12-15.

    Kirsten Thompson still a longshot

There is no doubt Purdue has interest in 2005 6'6 center Kirsten Thompson, but her lists do not reflect return interest. According to the Seattle Times, Thompson's list includes Arizona State, Iowa State, Notre Dame, UCLA, Colorado, Southern California, Florida State, Wake Forest, Stanford and Washington. Indications are that the staff is aware of Thompson's longshot status.

    Junior All-Stars beat Seniors

The Junior All-Star team broke a 10-game losing streak to the Senior All-Star team on Wednesday evening, beating them 88-82. The Junior team was led by Kahla Roudebush with 21 points. The Seniors were paced by 25 points from Janese Banks.

The Senior All-Star team will face the Kentucky All-Stars this Saturday at 5:00 pm at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Indiana beat Kentucky 66-53 in last weekend's matchup in Owensboro, Kentucky.
