Purdue has signed the No. 4 wrestling prospect in the nation, Colton Salazar of Wasatch High in Heber City, Utah. Salazar wrestles in the 152 class, and is a five-time all-american and two-time Utah state champion.
Salazar finished in fourth place at the NHSCA Senior National wrestling tournament, earning All-American honors at 152 pounds. NHSCA ranks Salazar as the nation's 7th best prospect, while Wrestling USA and Wrestling International rank him 4th and 5th respectively. He is also a two-time all-state wide receiver and kick returner.
Salazar chose Purdue because of the national reputation of the wrestling program, as well as Purdue's top notch aviation program.
