    Wisdom-Hylton makes history

Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton has the distinction of being the first female player in the state of Illinois to have career marks of at least 500 points, 500 blocks, 500 rebounds, 500 steals and 500 assists. She grabbed her 500th career assist in the fourth quarter of their sectional final game on Saturday.

    Brittney Moore visits

Merrillville High 6'2 post Brittney Moore was in attendance for Purdue's victory over Iowa last Thursday. Purdue packed in over 14,000 fans for the 2003-04 season's final home game. The sophomore Moore had a 17 point, 12 rebound, seven block performance in what ended up being the Duneland Athletic Conference title game against Crown Point. Merrillville entered sectional play as the favorite, but ended up losing to Valparaiso in the first round of sectional play.

    Indiana state championship games set

Two of Purdue's most recent additions, 6'6 North Central sophomore Amber Harris and 6'5 Brebeuf freshman Ta'Shia Phillips, have both helped their teams to the state finals this coming weekend. OGFP will have more this week on the matchups, and we will be covering the state finals next Saturday in Indianapolis.

Here is the schedule of events for the 2004 IHSAA Girls Basketball Tournament...
