"Smooth" is the word Jon Howell uses to describe Jodi's surgery today. Smooth, yet stressful.
The surgery uncovered not cartiladge damage, which is promising for recovery and future use. There was a small tear in the lateral meniscus, something that Dr. Shelbourne compared to a chip in a car's paint. You aren't proud its there, but it doesn't stop anything from running the way it should.
Jodi went into surgery at 11:00am, and by this evening already had three therapies out of the way. She will be restricted to bed for a week, returning for a physical therapy appointment next Wednesday.
Across the hall from Howell is current Boiler walkon Hannah Anderson, who went in for work on her knee at 1:00pm this afternoon. Both are reported to be sore, but in good spirits.
