Purdue coaches on the road
Members of the Purdue staff are scheduled to scout the Valparaiso game against Merrillville this evening. Players of interest in the game include 6'3 junior post Cassie Kerns of Valparaiso, and 6'2 sophomore post Brittney Moore of Merrillville.
Notre Dame game visitors
Three of Purdue's top in-state prospects were all in attendance for Purdue's victory over rival Notre Dame this past weekend. Sophomores Amber Harris and Melissa Lechlitner were present, along with freshman post Ta'Shia Phillips. Harris, a 6'6 do-everything post/forward/guard from Indianapolis North Central, is ranked as the top player nationally in her class. Lechlitner, a 5'7 point guard who as a freshman led her team to the Class 4A state championship game, might be the state's top sophomore at her position. Phillips, a 6'5 post who is just scratching the surface of her talent, is the cousin of Purdue assistant coach Katrina Merriweather. Also said to be in attendance was Ashley Barlow, a 5'10 sophomore wing from Indianapolis Pike.
