    2006: Laura Bugher

Lutheran's quest for a Marion County Tournament title was spoiled by Class 4A No. 2 Ben Davis on Thursday. Lutheran, ranked No. 2 in Class A, fell to the Giants 78-37 in the quarterfinals of the 30th annual tournament. Laura Bugher led Lutheran with 17 points and six rebounds, shooting 5-of-12 from the field and 7-of-8 from the line.

Lutheran advanced to meet Ben Davis with a 39-24 win over Speedway on Tuesday. Bugher had 21 points and 15 rebounds against Hauser on 12/5.

    2006: Amber Harris

North Central (4-2) was beaten by Class 3A No. 3 Brebeuf last week in the Marion County Tournament. Getting 10 points and 14 rebounds from star sophomore Amber Harris wasn't enough to keep Brebeuf from the 49-43 victory.

    2006: Melissa Lechlitner

Lechlitner shared team-high honors with Aimee Litka with 11 points each in a 75-32 win over Culver Academy on Saturday.

Last week, South Bend St. Joseph's evened their season record at 3-3 by handing Andrean their third straight loss of the season. Melissa Lechlitner scored 14 points in the 70-48 win. Lechlitner was averaging 14.2 points per game through six games.

    2006: Fahkara Malone

After dropping their first game of the season to Henderson, KY, Memorial returned with back-to-back wins. In game one, Malone led her team with 20 points on near perfect shooting. Malone was 7-of-7 from inside the arc, and 2-of-3 from beyond. She also had six steals and two deflections in the 85-29 blowout of Princeton.

In game two, Malone scored 15 points in a win over crosstown Evansville Bosse. Down three at the half, Memorial outscored Bosse 41-20 in the last half of the game to take the victory.

    2006: Myia McCurdy

Winton Woods defeated Amelia on Saturday, 47-26. Through five games, McCurdy is averaging close to 16 points and 7 rebounds per game.
