The Detroit Free Press has labeled Saginaw Arthur Hill as their top Michigan girls team for the upcoming 2003-04 season.
The article states..."The Saginaw Valley League may produce its second straight Class A state champion. The Lumberjacks are capable of following Saginaw Heritage as state champs behind the play of 6-foot-1 Lakisha Freeman (Purdue). The surprise here will be the play of sophomore Jamilah Humes, who can play all five positions. Asheley Harkins, another Division I recruit, is a fine rebounder. Guard Savannah Price is finally healthy after suffering a knee injury following her freshman season. Leading Arthur Hill's offense will be junior point guard Heidi Warczinsky, who does an excellent job distributing the ball and scoring when needed. A pair of freshmen -- ReShawndra Jackson, on the perimeter, and 5-10 Tanika Jackson, inside -- will provide added depth."
