According to her father, Purdue is among the final five schools on the list of 6'6 junior center Sarah Elliott. Elliott, who plays for Jackson County (KY), surpassed the 1,800 point and 1,500 rebound career marks during her junior season. The other four schools on her list are Florida, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Western Kentucky.
Jackson County (27-7) is currently among the 16 schools remaining in the KHSAA state tournament, which begins on Thursday, March 27 and completes Saturday, March 29. Jackson County will face Calloway County (21-9) on Thursday at 1:30pm. Last season, Jackson County made it to the final game before getting beaten by Sacred Heart, 57-46. Elliott had 12 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, one block and a steal in the game. Sacred Heart is also one of the 16 teams remaining this year, and could meet up with Jackson County in the state semifinal game on Saturday morning. Elliott's freshman year, Jackson County was eliminated in the elite eight of the KHSAA tournament.
Elliott is averaging 21 points and 12.2 rebounds as a junior, shooting 70.1 percent from the field.
