Assistant Todd Foster was seen headed to Kansas City on a recruiting trip last week. The staff is currently functioning within an evaluation period through March 15th, when it is permissible for the staff to be involved in off-campus activities to assess academic qualifications and playing abililties. No in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts with a prospect are permitted, and the staff is limited to 40 total days of evaluation. On March 16, a one-week contact period begins where in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts are permissible.
Liddell season numbers
With Dekalb at 19-1 with two games left in the regular season, Adam Liddell's stat line is showing his versatility as a player. Adam is averaging 12.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.2 blocks and 1.1 steals. He is shooting 60.4% from the floor, 34.2% from the perimeter, and 80.4% from the line. And for a forward, he has an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.1-to-1. His season high in points was 31 at the beginning of January against Fort Wayne Snider.
Indianapolis Pike remains atop the latest Sagarin power ratings, with an accompanying schedule strength ranking of 8th. Lawrence North is No. 2, heading into a showdown on Tuesday at No. 1 Pike. Rounding out the top five are all Class 4A schools, Bloomington North, North Central and Perry Meridian. Adam Liddell's Dekalb squad rates 6th.
Ije Nwankwo had 14 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks in a 70-62 win over Covert Friday. He followed that up with 21 points, 14 rebounds, six steals and four blocked shots in a 69-52 win over Holland Christian on Saturday. Country Day (15-2), ranked No. 3 in Class B, hosts Flint Northern on Tuesday.
No. 1 Pike blew out Martinsville, 113-60 on Friday. Robert Vaden scored 10 points, as 10 Pike players scored seven points or more, led by Justin Cage's 15.
