Lia Pogioli, the sister of current Boilermaker freshman mens swimmer Giordan Pogioli, is planning a recruiting visit to Purdue. She has already visited Ball State and Illinois.

Pogioli won two medals at the Illinois state meet this year as a senior, finishing 9th in the 500 freestyle and 11th in the 200 free. She will graduate from Woodruff HS, Peoria (IL) holding school records in seven of the eight individual events.

She expects to make a decision and sign during the April late signing period.

Womens Diving

Purdue diving lost out on a top, local recruit. Lynnsey Segraves of Lewis Cass HS (IN) has chosen to continue her diving career with the 2002 NCAA champion Auburn Tigers.

Segraves finished second at the 2002 IHSAA Diving Championships.

She visited Purdue, Ohio State, Indiana and Kentucky before choosing the Tigers, claiming the hardest part was the decison to move away from her parents.
