The staff is now on the trail of another of the nation's top point guard prospects. According to his coach at St. Raymond's, Bronx NY, 6'1 pure point guard Majestic Mapp has narrowed his list to seven schools...Virginia, UCONN, Texas, Purdue, Notre Dame, Seton Hall and Ohio State. This points out how aggressively Purdue is hitting the recruiting trail this summer. As of just a month ago, Purdue wasn't being mentioned at all by Mapp. Now, Purdue has made the final list of Mapp who is ranked as the nation's #4 point guard by Brick Oettinger and the #20 senior by Hoop Scoop. The 185-pound floor leader averaged 19 points and 5.3 assists as a junior.
