The rumored Vander Laan to Cal event is true, according to many reports now, including these from West Coast Hoops and The Daily Cal. The lure of returning to the west coast to be near friends and family was too great. For a kid who runs around yelling "West Coast!" on the floor all the time, few should be surprised he ended up at Cal.
Penn State has received a verbal from 6'2 senior guard Jon Crispin, brother of the Nittany Lion's Joe Crispin. The younger Crispin is a top 150 player, and was invited to the Nike All-American Camp this past summer. The Crispin verbal is just the latest in a string of verbals to Big Ten schools. Tomorrow will be an update on all the verbals that have occurred over the past two weeks in the Big Ten, including a big announcement for Valpo.
