St Joseph's in Rensselear Indiana has picked up a recruit for their womens team. Morgan Township's 5'6 senior guard Karin Morrisroe has signed a letter of intent to play for them next season. Morrisroe was a third team all-stater and named the team's MVP, averaging 22 points per game as a senior. Her junior year, she averaged 17 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists and also led the team in steals. In other St. Joseph's news, rumor had assistant men's coach and former Boiler Todd Foster in Marion recently to check out 5'8 senior guard Andrae Betts.
Recently transferred Illinois forward Awvee Storey looks to be headed to Vincennes Junior College (IN) for a year before rejoining another Division I squad.
Penn State lost a player this week. 6'5 sophomore Greg Stephenson announced he will transfer, citing a lack of playing time and the inability to settle differences with coach Jerry Dunn. Originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina, he is looking to transfer to a school closer to home. Stephenson lost his starting job mid-way through the season, and averaged only 4.0 points per game last year.
6'9 Overland Park, Kansas big man Tom Stroehben has reportedly signed with William and Mary. Stroehben at one time had Purdue on his list, but hadn't mentioned Purdue in quite a while.
