Sometimes the early rumors are the truest...Joey Range decided today to follow his friend Rod Thompson to Iowa. A hot topic among recruiters back in May, it was said to be almost a "given". Since then, rumors surfaced that the perceived package deal may not happen as Range looked to be favoring a host of other schools, including Kentucky and Illinois State. It leaves fans wondering if Kevin Stallings' lame duck position with Illinois State was a factor in Range's decision. Although Stallings has not accepted a position at another university, unless Ellerbe can take Michigan to the Final Four, expect Goss to come looking for Stallings at the end of the season... or any other major program for that matter with a coaching position to fill.
