A little early, but Clark Francis has his rankings of recruiting classes out. Purdue ranks 38th in his "quantity rankings" where the more recruits you have the more points you get. That's why a team like Pittsburgh can be ranked #14 while only signing one top40 rated player. The rankings also do not count transfers from other Division I schools. I've taken his ratings and created a "quality ranking" based on the average ranking of each recruit in the class. The score still has many flaws, but it is a different way of looking at the numbers.
