As was mentioned on March 2 below, Purdue seems to be after another Fort Wayne player. The prospect seems to be 6'4 Steven Starks, the Summit Athletic Conference's leading scorer. The kid has good leadership skills and would provide a quality backup, possible starter in a few years. Starks checked out the Boilers during the February Michigan game.
Another possible addition at guard would be Terre Haute South's Maynard Lewis. The following excerpt was taken from the Bloomington Herald-Times on March 12, written by Rex Kirts..."There's some upsetting news out of Terre Haute. Some insiders say Maynard Lewis, Terre Haute South's super smooth junior guard, is headed to Purdue. This mean IU would yet miss another good player from the state to Purdue. Just a few year[s] ago IU was getting nearly everyone it wanted from Indiana. Not Now. The worm has turned." Keep in mind that the rumor is not from Lewis himself, but rather from an "insider".
