A few other familiar faces were seen at the Purdue Minnesota game. East Chicago stars Bobby Smith and Willie Davis were in attendance, along with a couple other players around 6'4.
Indianapolis Tech scorer Antwun Freeman was also in attendance with his coach, who said Purdue was taking a look at the senior guard. Freeman is currently sixth in the state in scoring (26.5 ppg), shooting .336 from the perimeter. Add to that 4.1 rebounds, 2.9 steals and 2.1 assists per game. The Indianapolis Star calls Freeman "the best player in Indiana you have never heard of". The fact that he is a two-guard probably takes him out of Purdue's picture for this season. The staff is still concentrating on the point and a quality center.
