With Jamaal Davis, Cameron Stephens and Luke Recker all rated among the nation's top50 players, the class of 1997 is hard to beat for potential national success. But the 1997 class is beginning to be overshadowed by the early analysis of the class of 1999 in Indiana. Four of the national top50 players are from Indiana. The class includes (with rankings by Recruiter's Handbook in parenthesis) 5'11 PG Jason Gardner from Indianapolis North Central (#4), 6'7 C Vincent Hart from Gary West Side (#7), 6'7" C Krunti Hester from Indianapolis Brebeuf (Top50), and 6'5" WF Mariel Harris from Gary West Side (Top50).
