At a recent alumni dinner in Chicago, Coach Keady said "I think scholarship players should be productive." Speculation is that Matt ten Dam will need to step up this year and contribute or risk his scholarship not being renewed. The Keady quote of the evening went as such, "I like our players because we haven't practiced yet, I like our recruits because they aren't on campus yet, and I like our schedule because we haven't played it yet." Coach also said team chemistry would be a focus this year to meld the incoming six players (four scholarship and two walk-on) with the returning players.
The newest walk-on to join the club is Chad Kerkhof, a 6'0 guard from Greenfield Central. Look for a write-up on him coming soon.
