Several local boys made big impacts at this years 16-under AAU national championships. Keep an eye on these players in the future (comments provided by Prep Stars)...
Andy Abernethy, 6-6, BF, Carmel (IN) High. Son of former Indiana center Tom Abernethy, he is fundamentally sound, a pretty good shooter from 17 feet in and not particularly quick.
Matt Abernethy, 6-6, BF, Carmel (IN) High. Andy's twin, he is stronger than his brother but not as good a player. Ditto on fundamentals and quickness.
John Allison, 6-10, C, New Palestine (IN) High. Tremendous shot blocker who keeps the ball in play rather than spike it out of bounds. He rejected 18 in one game. Not much offense, but who cares?
