PURDUE MENS BASKETBALL:
Purdue vs Chicago State Recap

Purdue 75, Chicago State 57

Purdue went scoreless the first 5 minute of the game, but still were able to score 40 points in the first half. Chicago State's leading scorer Tony Weeden (17.4 ppg) was held scoreless. Melvin Buckley led Purdue with 20 points including 17 in the first half, while Ivan Kartelo added 15 points and 3 blocks. With McKnight in foul trouble and only playing 16 minutes, Parkinson came up big with 7 points and 8 assists in 29 minutes of play, his best game of the season. Everyone was able to get into the game during the last minute and despite a subpar performance Purdue was in control the entire 2nd half. Purdue only turned the ball over 10 times and had 11 steals and 7 blocks in the game, both season highs I believe. Unfortunately the team shot 61.5% from the free throw line. Purdue returns to action Thursday night at Oklahoma on ESPN2
