PURDUE WOMENS BASKETBALL RECRUITING:
OGFP Girl's Prep Report: Michigan Preps

    2007: Keshia Hines

Auburn Hills Avondale won their opener against Troy, 54-33. Avondale (1-0) was led by senior Sade Johnson's 17 points. Keshia Hines had nine points and 12 rebounds.

    2007: Lakeshia Mosley

Mosley is off to a great start. Detroit Community (1-0) beat Dearborn 65-55 behind Mosley's 28 points and 10 rebounds.

    2008: Kellie Watson

Watson is beginning the season with two partially torn shoulder muscles, but still managed to score 21 points to lead Ionia to a 42-36 victory over Greenville. Her shoulder injuries were a factor in her 6-of-17 shooting performance.

Kind of hard to carry a team on two injured shoulders, but Watson has been thrust into a leadership role as the rest of the team fares worse physically. Since mid-summer, Ionia has lost one player to an ACL tear, one for an irregular heartbeat, and one for a broken finger. Plus a fourth player was lost to transfer.
