    Loyola visitor tears ACL

A visitor to Mackey Arena back in February for the Minnesota game has reportedly gone down to a knee injury this early spring. Ashley Thomas, from Loyola Academy (IL), tore her ACL and is scheduled for surgery on May 3rd.

    U18 National Team forming

While the complete list has yet to be released, Fenwick (IL) forward Alison Jackson has been invited to participate in the 2006 U18 National Team Trials held June 16-19, 2006 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The U18 National Team will participate in the 2006 FIBA Americas U18 Championship for Women, hosted by USA Basketball at the U.S. Olympic Training Center June 28 - July 2. She will be joined by 29 other players hoping to make it on the 12-member U18 squad.

USA women's teams boast of a remarkable 24-2 overall record at this event and have won gold in 1988, 2000 and 2004, while capturing silver medals in 1992 and 1996.
