    Last scholarship?

Purdue has been recruiting junior college all-american Takais Brown of Southeastern Illinois College as the priority for the now last scholarship remaining for 2006. Brown, at 6'8 and 240-pounds, is visiting Purdue this weekend and reportedly has a final three of Purdue, Georgia and UNLV. Brown is rated the sixth-best junior college player in the country by JucoJunction.

Kramer to play in All Star game April 23

Purdue signee Chris Kramer is scheduled to play in the annual North/South All-Star series April 23 at Lawrence North high school in Indianapolis. Kramer will play on the North squad. The girls game will begin at 2 p.m. and the boys at 4 p.m.

    AAU Team Profile: Spiece Central

Longtime friend Mike Pegram has begun profiling the Indiana AAU scene, and his latest update is for Spiece Central. Two players of Purdue interest are profiled by head coach Pat Mullin, a coach that has a long history of forming very dangerous AAU teams out of what some might call mid-major players, developing them into high-major prospects. Purdue fans will be interested in the profiles of 6'7 Connersville forward Matt Howard, and 6'10 versatile big man JaJuan Johnson.

    E'Twaun Moore update

Although written from a Illinois point of view, E'Twaun Moore was interviewed recently by the Daily Illini and still mentioned Purdue as one of the programs recruiting him the hardest at the moment. Illinois, Tennessee and Miami were also named in heavy pursuit. The 6'3 scoring guard from East Chicago Central (IN) is getting more popular coming into the active junior recruiting season. Hopefully, Moore's longtime popularity with the Purdue staff will keep Painter on his list until a decision is made.

    Eshaunte Jones update

An update from the Real Deal on the Hill tournament in Fayetteville (AR) has Purdue absent from the list of Eshaunte Jones. The 6'4 guard from Fort Wayne Northside mentioned Michigan State, Miami, Indiana and Kentucky, and recently spoke with Indiana's new head coach Kelvin Sampson.

    Love may not qualify

Josh Love, a sophomore forward from Hill Junior College (TX), may not qualify according to a report in the Lawrence Journal-World. The Washington native is looking at Purdue, Baylor, Nebraska, Marquette, and South Florida as possible destinations if he academically qualifies.
