    2006: Carrie Gurnell

Cinco Ranch defeated conference rival Katy High on Friday to clinch the District 19-5A title for the fourth time in the past five years. Cinco Ranch won in five games, 20-25, 25-15, 25-15, 21-25, 25-9, improving their record to 12-0 in conference and 32-3 overall.

A week ago, Purdue recruit Carrie Gurnell had 14 kills against conference No. 3 Taylor in a four game win, 25-22, 25-16, 23-25, 25-22.

Cinco Ranch is ranked at No. 74 in Prep Volleyball's latest high school ranking released on October 20th.

    2006: Lisa Pierce

Hinsdale South finished 6th at the Mizuno Cup in Chicago after losing in the quarterfinals to Joliet Catholic, and Purdue recruit Lisa Pierce was named to the all-tournament team. However, Pierce went down with a strained left knee and hopes to return by their first regional game this Wednesday. No. 2 seed Hinsdale South plays No. 14 seed Chicago Harper at 6:30pm Wednesday in the Oak Lawn Regional.

Hinsdale South is unranked in Prep Volleyball's latest high school ranking released on October 20th.

    2006: Sam Gray

Brebeuf Jesuit beat Lawrence Central to complete an unbeaten regular season on the court and opened sectional play with a win over Crawfordsville, 25-9, 25-15, 25-17. The Braves then defeated Western Boone 25-11, 25-9, 25-20, and took the sectional championship with a 25-10, 25-7, 25-17 win over Southmont.

Up next for Class 3A No. 1 Brebeuf is No. 3 Roncalli (26-7) in the Hamilton Heights regional on Saturday, October 29th. Looming in the championship game will likely be Class 3A No. 2 New Castle.

Brebeuf is ranked at No. 5 in Prep Volleyball's high school ranking released on October 20th.

    2006: Katie Bremner

Rockford Guilford got a little revenge on Rockford Boylan on Friday, avenging an early season loss. Guilford won in three games, 23-25, 25-23, 25-14. Purdue recruit Katie Bremner led Boylan with 16 kills and eight digs.

Boylan enters regional action on Wednesday at 7:30pm against Machesney Park.

Boylan is unranked in Prep Volleyball's high school ranking released on October 20th.
